"We Need to Talk..." Video Series

The "We Need to Talk..." video series started in 2018 in order to share thoughts, feelings, and opinions on various subjects with friends, family, and fans.

In these short videos, I talk about anything ranging from Rachmaninoff's hands to my shoes, from Mozart's birthday to playing Bach with cold hands.
There are different schools of thought on whether or not scales (arpeggios, octaves, all that jazz) are useful. I come from the one that says yeah, they are useful. So, here I am, talking about how I practice scales, and why. Because why not.
Here I am, chatting away about Rachmaninoff, his hands, my shoes (obviously). Mostly about pedal control, and how (for me, at least) high-heels don't help! And a few minutes on how it seems like he wrote for 20 fingers, rather than 10.

Talking about the impossibility of starting a recital program with Bach (yet I keep on doing it!). I get very nervous before I go on stage, so my hands get cold, and cold hands is the last thing you want when playing Bach!
Celebrating Mozart's birthday with a brief look on his 12 Variations on the theme "Ah, vous dirai-je Maman" or "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" (yes, seriously. it's an old tune!)

I wanted to celebrate Schubert's birthday with an Impromptu, but that day I just stumbled upon his Hungarian Melody in B Minor. I have no clue how I missed this, but thankfully I found the sheet music right away, so that I could come home from work and decipher it!
